The Fotona SP Dynamis is designed to perform all major aesthetic treatments by combining two complementary laser wavelengths ND and Erbium YAG.
Er:YAG laser’s ablative action has the ability to penetrate deeply into skin to create thermal effects without damaging the skin surface. Er:YAG laser can perform skin resurfacing, with precise, micron layer-by-layer ablation control. With functions ranging from superficial to deep peels, from non-ablative to fully ablative and from full-field to fractional resurfacing, treatments can be tailored to any specific skin condition to achieve exceptional results. It is also an excellent procedure for hair follicle growth and scalp stimulation as well as intra-oral tightening for snoring and for facial slimming. Both hair and intra-oral procedures have no downtime and are quick and non-invasive.
The Nd:YAG laser perfectly complements the Er:YAG laser’s ablative action with its ability to penetrate deeply into the skin to create thermal effects without damaging the skin surface. Nd:YAG can remove pigment (hair and skin lesions), treat veins on the face and body, stimulate collagen for skin rejuvenation and also treat fungal nail infections. It works well to treat melasma, hyperpigmented skin, and fine lines and wrinkles. It is also one of the only lasers in the world that can treat active acne!
Both Nd and Er YAG have homogeneous absorption in the skin and low absorption in melanin allow it to be safely used on all skin types.

Benign Lesion Removal
Removing flat pigmented or nonpigmented lesions or skin tags anywhere on face or body. Laser is best for removing benign (non-cancerous) lesions as it will heal as if it was never there - no ulceration, white spots or pigmentation after the area heals.

Hair Restart:
No downtime, no medications needed. This procedure stimulates scalp epidermal growth factors resulting in new hair follicle growth, increased tissue regeneration, and denser hair. Scalp blood circulation also improves with the Fotona SMOOTH mode which is the optimal infrared Er:YAG laser wavelength at 2.94μm, the maximal absorption in the skin.
Best results are with a combination of PRP scalp injections either at the same time as laser treatment or a separate treatment protocol such as PRP then laser then PRP then laser etc at 2 week intervals. Maintenance treatments are required for best long term outcomes.

NightLase for Snoring:
This tightens the mucosal tissues at the back of the throat (the soft palate) by heat contraction of collagen. The effects are significant by reducing the effects of sleep apnea and decreasing the amplitude of snoring. After 1 treatment, there is a 50% reduction in snoring, after 2 treatments about 75% and after the third, roughly 90% improvement.

Active Acne (includes 2 step treatment plus spot treatment):
This is one of the few laser treatments in the world that can treat *active* acne. Fotona laser works by drying up active sebaceous glands and destroying acne creating bacteria. This reduces inflammation, redness and overactive oil glands. A bonus is the collagen stimulation which helps the skin to heal from the deep dermal layers to the superficial epidermal layer. This treatment works best for all types of acne, but can be custom tailored to cystic acne on the face and/or body.

Rosacea Treatment
ND Yag laser skin rejuvenation targets imperfections and improves the appearance of the skin. Using thermal energy to penetrate and target “red” and "brown" chromophores in the skin. It also targets vascular structures to increase collagen, elastin and improve skin texture, tone and overall quality. This can be combined with ER Yag laser peel for added texture, collagen and skin tightening benefits.
Skin Resurfacing Laser Micro-Peel:
Indicated for improvement in skin tone and textural issues, fine lines and wrinkles, mild acne scarring.
Fractional Skin Resurfacing Laser Peels:
Indicated for deep acne scars, deeper lines and wrinkles. More heat energy will allow for greater collagen production and skin tightening.
For deep peels, the Er:YAG is safe and effective for resurfacing as the penetration depth is precisely controlled. The initial peel is at a superficial 20 micron depth, the remaining peels are deeper, going up by 10-20 microns each peel as the treatment progresses. This allows for a healthy and controlled regeneration of collagen, elastin and a safe removal of scarred/pigmented skin. The skin is numbed with a topical anaesthetic cream and there is peeling downtime depending on the peel depth.

Spider Veins on Face and/or Body:
The laser targets the oxyhemoglobin chromophore which is found inside the veins. The thermal energy gets absorbed by the blood and subsequently destroys the vein walls by heat coagulation. Unlike other lasers or IPL, the Fotona laser wavelengths can also target the underlying vascular feeding system, which is important for ensuring the long-term efficacy of the treatment. Importantly, the VSP (Variable Square Pulse) technology, allows the laser energy to penetrate deeply into the skin to create thermal effects without damaging the skin surface. The coagulated/dead tissue will remain as a bruise until your body clears the debris and heals the area.
Both areas require a minimum of 4 treatments and can target more than 1 area time permitting.
Face veins are treated at 4 to 6 week intervals and leg veins at 8 to 12 week intervals.

Nail Fungus Treatment:
For use on fingernails or toenails. The heating of the nail bed stimulates the killing of parasitic fungus which allows your body’s immune system to clear the infection and debris thereby restoring the nail back to its original state. First your nails will be filed down allowing the laser to better penetrate the treatment site, then the laser will be administered to the nail and surrounding skin. This treatment is optimal when compared to topical nail varnish applications such a Penlac/Jublia which are subjected to chemical diffusion and laser is more optimal compared to oral antifungal medications which have side effects of liver toxicity requiring frequent blood work to check liver enzymes.
All nails and surrounding skin on the affected hand will be treated, for example, if only the right big toe has an infection, we will treat all 5 toenails with the treatment.
Weekly treatments for 4 weeks total. It will take 9 to 12 months for a new nail to grow.

Intraoral Tightening of Buccal Mucosa, Nasolabial and Marionette Folds :
Non-invasive skin tightening procedure performed on the oral mucosa inside the mouth/cheeks to stimulate natural collagen production and collagen remodeling without the need for surgery or injectables. Results are felt immediately after the first treatment and with a full course, there is a noticeable improvement in the depth of nasolabial and marionette folds and a better face contour.
LipLase:
Non-invasive lip plumping stimulates natural collagen production and collagen remodeling without fillers or injectables. Two step laser treatment, first step focuses on the upper and lower inner mucosa and the second step focuses on the outer lips. There will be mild exfoliation 2-3 days after the procedure.
